Interesting. There should be a “Super Sapper” ability which adds more damage to “draining moves” (15-25%) & recovers more HP.

This was one of my favorite venusaur replacement. Only wish it had a little more speed. Being slower than a adamant blastoise is rough.

Dude, I really liked the video you did on Dynamaxing, and I’d like to see more about it. So I was thinking that maybe you could do a series similar to these one, where you talk about specific pokemon that you think would benefit most from the Dynamax mechanic leading up to SWSH. Like for instance, I really like Shiinotic, but it’s not very good and the major reason for that is its low HP; but with Dynamaxing it can fix that (if only briefly) and hopefully finally get from under Amoongus’s shadow.
don’t forget that the speed boosting abilities like swift swim are basically a agility so your speed stat is calculated as double your existing speed not as a higher base stat if taht makes a difference
hey if victreebel got solar blade its phycial sets would be way better since you don’t have to deal with the low accuracy of power whip and in sun solar blade hits in one turn like solar does

Z-growth under the sun is a +3 special attack which is enormous and almost guarantees a sweep, and Z-weather ball under the sun turns into Inferno Overdrive with huuuuuuge power !

Love these videos! Any chance we could see one for Masquerain in the future? Obviously it doesn’t have very much going for it competitively, but it’s my favorite Pokémon and I was surprised it got such a substantial stat boost in gen 7
being a bug catcher pokemon i rlly wish this poke had an ability where it was immune to bug type attacks or that whenever it hit a bug type with a move it would do double the damage

I so enjoy watching these videos. One of the best parts is that you seem focus on Pokémon, that would place lower on a tier list.
It needs Solar Blade. I don’t care if its Special Attack is just 5 points lower, I want to use its higher attack stat unless I want to surprise the meta a little, which would work better if it had Solar Blade!
In Generation 7 for my victreebel I use Z stockpile poison Jab strength sap and leaf blade
But I do hope in generation 8 more Pokemon have access 2 solar blade then we can really have some fun

I like using Z-Weather ball in the sun to turn it into Inferno Overdrive. No one expects ‘ol Vicky to go nuclear.

I didn’t really care for Victreebell until playing Let’s Go Eevee, then I started to warm to it.
Funnily enough, AAAAAAAAAAAA was the nickname my fiance accidentally gave her Rowlet for one of her attempted Nuzlocke runs of Moon (she wasn’t paying attention :P).
Great video, something I think that’s crazy is that, Cherrim can support almost every grass type through grassy terrain, Helping Hand, and Sweet Scent of all things… Sweet Scent for better accuracy of course. Very helpful for speedy and very physically needy Pokemon in general. Hope your day is going well.

3 gen 1 Pokémon that are grass and poison type start with the letter V. Weird.
Since gen 4 gave this guy weather ball I’ve been a fan of it that said I do worry about the unnerving amounts of power creep over the generations kinda lowering its significance.
Regarding Leech Life Bellsprout and Yanma have both learned Leech Life as an egg move since gen 2 it was just useless until l now. That said it does seem quite strange that Neither line gained access to the TM but to be fair the TM had such a lopsided distribution in the first place as the only Pokemon that learned it by TM were ones that either already had it by level up or were part of the original Sun and Moon Pokedex. Regardless I have to admit I don’t really see the means to run it anyway since Victreebel is already a heavy sufferer of 4 move slot syndrome especially regarding egg moves and pre evolution only moves
I do wish it had a bit of a stat buff namely to speed as base 70 is… yeah. I guess at this point though we need to count the blessings we do get since at least Victreebel offers hope for all those desperately wanting a viable physical or special stab >_>

Tbf how does Victreebel use Poison Jab? It has no means of jabbing with anything. It’s a leaf! It only got it now because it’s good on it, but it doesn’t really make sense.

Venasuar outclasses this Pokemon in every way. All of its stats are better except for attack so you could argue that unlike Venasuar, Victreebel can be mixed. Venasuar gets access to the same ability as well. So Venasuar out speeds, out bulks Victreebel and does same special damage as it. I currently run a Venasuar in my sun team. Slap Grass Z crystal on Venasuar, use grass ball and you’ll 1 shot most water types or anything grass is super effective against. If you really wanna be dirty and 1 shot a bulky Tapu Fini, Z move Solarbeam. This is for doubles btw, not singles.

Normalium-z is the best z-crystal for victreebel, cause you get psychic,normal,fire,water,rock,grass,ice,fairy and electric with 1 z-crystal and 2 moves

I love the intro. I just wish that it included a part where the Victreebel bit James.
I’m so glad that Victreebel has improved over the generations thanks to Leaf Blade, Poison Jab, Stockpile, usage of Z-Crystals, Weather Ball, Infestation, Leech Life as of Gen 7 onward, Strength Sap, Power Whip, Leaf Storm, Knock Off as of Gen 6 onward, Bug Bite, Sucker Punch, Clear Smog, Belch in combination with its hidden ability Gluttony, Acid Spray, and Nature Power.
One injustice that needs to be corrected is the creation of a Grass-type biting/fang move that deals super-effective damage to Bug-type Pokemon. The base power would be 75-85 and a base accuracy of 100%. The only name that I can come up with is “Fly Trap”, but I don’t think it’s good enough. If anyone who sees this comment can come up with a good name for this attack, which could be used especially by Pokemon based off of carnivorous plants like Victreebel and Carnivine as well as insectivores, please leave it in a comment. The same goes for what Pokemon you think should learn this move. The only limit that I want is bird or bird-like Pokemon since the majority of them are already part Flying-type or at least are able to learn a Flying-type attack.
An ability that I wish it or a potential Mega Victreebel would get is one that I’ve come up with called Insectivore. This ability allows the user to inflict super-effective damage to Bug-type Pokemon when using biting/fang moves, Leech Life, Bug Bite, as well as Poison-type attacks.
The following are a list of moves that I think would be neat for Victreebel to learn in a future game in general or in a future game where it receives a Mega Evolution:
Poison Fang, Gunk Shot, Sludge Wave, Grassy Terrain, Leech Seed, Thunder Fang, Bite, Crunch, Super Fang, Hyper Fang, Throat Chop, Sticky Web, Gyro Ball, Aromatic Mist, Floral Healing, Flower Shield, Toxic Spikes, Venom Drench, Glare, Aromatherapy, Solar Blade, Feint Attack, Foul Play, Night Slash, Psychic Fangs, Spore, Dream Eater, Heal Block, and Pluck.

What frustrate me from using grass type with chlorophyll ability is they doubled damage from fire attacks. Is it logical from grass type to benefit from water i.e rain dance instead of sunny day?

I love to use Pokémon that people seldom used and crush the opponent with it. People always says that this sort of Pokémon is useless.
